First BioShock Gameplay Video

Friday, September 22, 2006 - 13:08:12 EST

As anticipation for BioShock continues to grow, 2K is excited to release the first video of the game! Since many have only seen screenshots, read the rave advance looks or heard about the mountain of awards it won at E3 2006, this will validate the hype. BioShock is slated for the Xbox 360 and PC DVD-ROM in spring 2007.

   1st Gameplay Video

BioShock creates a living, unique and unpredictable FPS experience that takes place among the ruins of an underwater utopia. After your plane crashes into icy uncharted waters, you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea.  Constructed as an ideal society for a hand-picked group of scientists, artists and industrialists, Rapture collapsed under the weight of its own idealism. Now the city is littered with corpses, while wildly powerful guardians roam the corridors, mutated little girls scavenge the dead, and genetically modified citizens ambush you at every turn. Players must ultimately make meaningful choices and mature decisions, culminating in the grand question: do you exploit the innocent survivors of Rapture...or save them?
